Corneal Disease

Corneal diseases most frequently encountered include Keratoconus, Fuch's Dystrophy, Bullous Keratopathy, infectious keratitis, other hereditary dystrophies and Herpes keratitis.

DSEK is a newer procedure where only the back surface of the corneal is removed and replaced with a donor transplant. This leaves the front surface intact usually resulting in a much faster recovery and less severe refractive change.
